MASSIVE WARFARE

This is Our Most Massive Game Yet!

Massive Warfare

We are now over 16 months in the making of this game. Wow! It's been quite a ride. In the beginning this game started as a Combat! (Atari 2600) tribute. We were excited about the idea of bringing that retro arcade game to today's devices, and have players battle against each other in real-time multiplayer matches. Back then, it was a simple top-down shooter game with tanks, that looked like moving boxes. We played it with each other and we had a great time.

We then thought: 'What if we made the game look like Battlefield or Call of Duty?' and actually 'What if we bring in warships and helicopters? We could even have a Kaiju and strange creatures in it too.. That would be cool!'.

And so, the journey started. We literally put everything we got in the making of this game. It was a labor of sweat, love and tears. We wanted Massive Warfare to look and feel new and modern for today's mobile gaming standards, with lots of non-stop action and fun moments. So we've put a lot of effort and love into every single detail. But the most important part was the idea of really pleasing players around the world. As we played it, we felt the need to communicate with each other, via chat or emojis, or team-up against others.

We realized our goal was to connect players, make them compete and even help them make friends with each other, no matter where they are. This would be a 'Everytime, Everywhere, Everyone' game destination.

Ultimately, we wanted to create an engaged and vibrant community of happy players. Now the game is finally live, this feels like the start of a new journey. We are extremely excited and motivated to bring the most surprising updates and the best support so we can keep improving this game. Most importantly, we want to make this 'your' game, the game you’ve always dreamed of! With your feedback, we can do it. So reach out, we want to hear from you.

Let's meet at the battle front!

MAGNATE

Mamma Mia! What a ride this has been. Some time ago, we became fascinated by idle games (also called cookie clickers).

Ink Mania out worldwide. Both available on iOS and Android.

The idea of taping to make money and growing an empire with no limits was too attractive and we had to make a game based on this concept. In Magnate, players can grow their earnings even if they are out of the game and that is a great positive feeling.

Early playtesting gave us the impression this game is very addictive. We also love gangster movies like Ocean's 11, Goodfellas, Snatch or Casino and wanted to get the player into that world, where fortune grows and sometimes things get out of hands.

It all came together well. We certainly hope you find this game as irresistible as we do. Ask for more features and content and we'll listen!

INK MANIA: SIMPLE CAN BE FUN

We wanted to get crazy! We loved the idea of shooting ink at incoming cartridges in a factory.

Ink Mania out worldwide. Both available on iOS and Android.

Yet, we wanted to keep the game as simple and clean as possible.

Sometimes, keeping games pure in essence just works.

So, here we go again with a new game meant to keep you challenged and entertained. We hope you like it too!

WE ARE PROUD TO PRESENT MONKEY ROPE

We are so excited and want to spread the news! Monkey Rope is finally live worldwide. This is a fantastic new arcade game where players can jump, avoid obstacles and grab vines to get as far ahead as possible. Players will unlock fantastic worlds and super cool characters. There's mystery boxes with great prizes too!

Monkey Rope out worldwide. Both available on iOS and Android.

It's such an addictive casual game we'd like everyone to enjoy it as much as we do.

Developed by our friends at Avocco and published by TinyBytes.

Working on this game was too much fun. So try it out, download it for free and let us know how far can you go!

WE ARE LAUNCHING 2 GAMES THIS MONTH!

Yes, we just couldn't help it. We are in the quest for fun, making great looking games that are insanely simple to play but hard to master (and hard to put down!). So we bring you Ziggy Zombies today, June 4th and Zoo Landing out worldwide on June 18th. Both available on iOS and Android.

Ziggy Zombies and Zoo Landing out worldwide. Both available on iOS and Android.

In Ziggy Zombies you’ll do zigzags on the road to run over zombies, but try not to fall off the road! It get’s tougher as the day changes, but there’s night driving for that… Don’t forget to try all the vehicles. Ah.. There’s no pleasure like running over zombies with a Stealth Tank, you should try it!

In Zoo Landing, animals escape the zoo and the only way to go is up the skyscraper. But you’ll need to dodge the querky obstacles falling from above. Make sure you try all the animals, like Groovy Melvin, the Penguin and his groovy flying bass.

Hope you like the art style in both games. It’s all brought to you with love, from TinyBytes. Oh, and let’s see how far you can go, don’t forget to tweet us your high score!

We made it! Thanks Apple for featuring Battle of Toys

Obtaining Apple's support is a testimony of Battle of Toys' quality. When users go to the AppStore's Game section on their iPhone or iPad they can see Battle of Toys being featured with the top banner and in the recommended games section. This has been a real honour. See you in the game everyone!

MAKING OF MACHINE KYO SOUND FX AND VOICEOVER

We’ve been friends with the people of Segno Sound Design for some years now. They are absolute professionals when it comes to sound design, and they’ve put a lot of love into the making of special sounds for every single character and animation in our game. ‘How would this character scream if he was hit? Where did he come from?’ – they would ask us. And so we started a journey of crazy action sounds and voices. Here is Machine Kyo, in the great voice of Leto Dugatkin. Boy that was fun!

MAKING OF ZUMA WING SOUND FX AND VOICEOVER

We always felt mobile games should be at the same production level of big console games. The same applies to sound fx. We are very happy to have the support of Segno Sound Design (Oliverio Duhalde and Emmanuel Bortolin). Here is a reel with some of Zuma Wing’s animations and voiceover by Delfina Frangi. She really made Zuma come to life!

THE WORLD OF BATTLE OF TOYS

We always felt strongly about keeping the fiction of toys within a kid’s world. So we started working on different props that would come from that world and placing everything in the point of view of a toy. We had many ridiculous ideas for props, and Jordan Fadic modeled them all with lots of dedication. Daniel Igarza & the Ravegan Team made them look even better with bright and cool textures. It really makes you want to feel like a kid again.

MAKING OF STRIKER SOUND FX AND VOICEOVER

We had all these amazing character animations by the Fantastic 4: Patricio Vasquez, Martin Valenzuela, Jordan Fadic and Ignacio Cordero. But ‘how would a shark-like character sound if he was hit? Like a splash!’ Oliverio Duhalde said. And that’s what he did. You can hear Striker spilling water with every hit and jump. Here is a reel of Striker coming to life in full sound. Scary, huh?

THE STORY BEHIND BATTLE OF TOYS: PART 1

THE STORY BEHIND BATTLE OF TOYS: PART 2

With the hope to stop him, a geek kid discovers a time warp and brings to the future the greatest warriors of all time. They are called from different civilizations to serve a common purpose: defeat evil with their own hands. But in the future, they are given hi-tech combat armours that increase their attack, power and speed to superhuman levels, making them the ultimate Combat Elite. They are the TechnoTitans.

THE STORY BEHIND BATTLE OF TOYS: PART 3

In the future, the world suffers a biochemical and environmental disaster, product of careless mankind. Mutants rise from the contaminated waters near factories, and they hate humans. In the meantime, a scientific experiment gone wrong gives birth to a new breed of bionic super animals. Half animal, half machine, they call themselves Smash Heads. They are clever as humans, and have the strength and brute force of hundreds of men. Their purpose is to save animal-kind from the mindless mutant threat, and save the world from the environmental chaos produced by humans.

THE STORY BEHIND BATTLE OF TOYS: PART 4

TechnoTitans and Smash Heads take their rivalry to your bedroom, and they start fighting each other until one remains standing. Who will that be? That's for you to decide. Keep playing the game!

WORKING ON THE BATTLE OF TOYS AR CARDS

We loved the idea of having trading cards where kids could battle each other with their Battle of Toys character cards and at the same time they could use the cards as AR markers. They could simply aim their mobile devices at the marker, see the toy come to life in augmented reality and start interacting with it. Well, we talked about it with our Director of Technology and Crazy Genius, Andres Ayala and he turned around this AR demo in just 20 mins. We filmed it in his son’s room. Magic, isn’t it?

DEVELOPING THE PACKAGING FOR BATTLE OF TOYS

We wanted our toys to have the best possible boxes. When we were kids we cared a lot about how the toy boxes looked like, how they felt when holding them… we even cared about how they smelled. We put the same love and attention to detail to the making of our Battle of Toys boxes. It had to feel real. This is the result of the great work we did with the talented designer and illustrator Diego Tapie.

HOW IT ALL STARTED: TECHNOTITANS CONCEPT ART

When we started sketching characters we felt we needed artists that could stretch beyond the boundaries of hardcore gaming and into the realm of toys and action figures that kids (and adults) love. A trip to Japan -a place we love profoundly- helped by giving us lots of ideas for toys. Here you can see Machine Kyo’s amazing transition from 2D to 3D thanks to 2D illustrator Diego Tapie and 3D modeler Jorge Montero Bruna.

HOW IT ALL STARTED: SMASH HEADS CONCEPT ART

We always asked ourselves, ‘If this was a toy, how would it feel when touching it? How would it articulate? What would be fun about it?’. We wanted Smash Heads to eject their heads and hit their opponents by pressing the red button at their back. We figured the whole mechanic first but we needed to see it in paper. Jorge Cuellar did a great job at capturing the essence of Smash Heads in 2D concepts and 3D modeler Jorge Montero Bruna made it look amazingly real. You can almost touch Striker, right?
